Libyan desert Bashar Shglila, [x].

“We offer you the photographs of Libyan photographer Shglila Bashar (Bashar Shglila) “Libyan desert.” In 2011, the 41-year-old Bashar Shglila (aka Ben Taher) has been named “One of the most talented photographers.” What is surprising is that many of the great photos Bashar made conventional compact cameras. Bashar says about himself: “I took up photography four years ago, just as a hobby, but after two years, a lot has changed … I started getting many offers, and also received several invitations to participate in exhibitions. My photos have appeared in magazines, newspapers and books. In addition, I participated in many exhibitions inside and outside of Libya! You may not believe me, but I only use my compact camera for shooting and never used DSLR cameras or Special lenses …” (translated from Russian)

A bunker is a bunker is a bunker, but not deep down in the helvetian heartland. Here the dugouts of the famous Swiss National Redoubt have become hidden icons of a weird camouflaged and mimetic architecture, looking like chalets, rocks or even a cluster of trees. Through their slightly, clandestine appearance - looking like a natural part of the local infrastructure - they turned switzerland into a paranoiac landscape. From the moment on you become aware of their presence, every shifted pattern of manhole covers on the road let you think about a tank trap and the related bunker in close proximity. The perfect swiss idyll, green meadows on steep hills covered with little barns and chalets, more and more appears like a nationwide stage scenery, made for war and not for pleasure.
